All International House English Camps and Teenage English Classes are held at St. John's University. The University was founded in 1870 and is the tenth oldest university in the United States. St. John's University is known for the high-quality education it provides and has an excellent standing in the local community and surrounding area.

Queens

International House runs our Summer English Camp at St. John's University main campus in Queens, New York City. St. John's University Queens is a perfect site for learning English and offers first-rate facilities. Situated in a safe and tree-lined part of Queens, the 105-acre university is serviced by local buses and borders the Grand Central Parkway. The journey time into the center of Manhattan by bus is 15 minutes.

The Queens campus of St. John's University features broad lawns, handsome stone buildings and modern student residence halls. Facilities include high-tech laboratory and classroom buildings, a library with over 1 million books, and state-of-the-art athletic facilities for students.

There is always a supportive and secure atmosphere around the university campus and the numerous open spaces and relaxation areas provide ample opportunity for students to combine rest and recreation with the English Language Classes. The campus has 24-hour security on every entry and exit point as well as security personnel patrolling the campus at all hours.

Manhattan

International House New York is based at St. John's University Manhattan, which is in the heart of downtown New York. There is a friendly and secure atmosphere at the university. In addition, the numerous lounges and open spaces providing ample opportunity for students to chat to new friends and practice what they've learnt in their English Classes. It also has a well-stocked library, 25 classrooms, two computer rooms (additional computers are located in the library), and a cafeteria. Just outside the university, there are many additional facilities including restaurants, cinemas, grocery stores, sports field and specialty shops.

The university is serviced by an unparalleled number of subway lines (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, A, C, E, N, Q, R, W, J, M & Z), the PATH train, as well as numerous bus lines and the Staten Island Ferry. It is near the World Trade Center Site and adjacent to the Hudson River.
