St. John's University's Queens campus offers the grassy expanse, tranquility, comfort and security of an out-of-town private campus, but only a short distance from the busy excitment of Manhattan!

The main advantage of IH New York's Summer English Camp for Teenagers in Queens are the facilities and grounds, which we take full advantage of for our students' benefit. Between the world-class sports fields, multiple computer labs, the all-you-can-eat gourmet Montgoris dining hall, the brand-new dormitory suites of The Village and the numerous recreational rooms with couches, TVs and kitchen facilities, there is nothing our students lack in on-campus luxuries.

The Village residential blocks are divided into separate same-sex suites, all of which have a common area, kitchen and two bathrooms. With 2 students to a room and 3-4 rooms in each suite, students have plenty of space to socialize and make friends.

Our students appreciate the space and comfort they have in The Village residence hall, as well as The Montgoris Dining Hall with its exhaustive selection of food, perfect to satisfy any appetite or dietary need. Meanwhile, parents appreciate the 24-hour security of the enclosed campus grounds and the presence of our trained and experienced residential staff, who are on campus at all times supervising the students and overseeing activities.

Manhattan

Live on campus at St. John's University Manhattan and study English in the heart of TriBeCa! Not only are you just a few steps away from class, but you are also surrounded by one of the most popular and lively neighborhoods in all of Manhattan! TriBeCa is home to countless restaurants and numerous celebrities. It is seconds away from views of the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty and just a few minutes walk from Wall Street and the World Trade Center site. A 10-minute subway ride will find you in Times Square, on 5th Avenue or anywhere else in the core of the Big Apple. We are located near all the city's major subway lines, allowing you to easily explore the rest of Manhattan.
Residential blocks are in the same downtown building as the university. The rooms are shared and they are furnished, clean and modern with views and air conditioning. There are shared bathrooms and showers on each floor as well as common areas allowing for opportunities to socialize and meet other students. There is a library with computers and internet access and there is wireless internet throughout the building. We have teachers and residence supervisors on-site, so there is always somebody to talk to if you are feeling ill or a bit homesick. The classrooms are on floors 2-5 and the all-you-can-eat canteen is on the 1st floor – all of your needs under one roof in the center of downtown New York – who could ask for more?
